After the restart, a question mark keeps flashing indicating no startup disk.
Solution:
Restore your original System file from the Trash then restart your Mac. When everything is back to normal, open the Startup Disk control panel and make sure you have selected the startup disk you are going to restart with. Open any of the folder inside the System Folder (such as Control Panels, Extensions, Fonts folder, and so on) then close it. Follow the instruction in the User's Guide file again and restart your Mac.
The other cause is that you forgot to rename the modified "System copy" and "Finder copy" back to "System" and "Finder". Please refer to "User's Guide" for how to rename the files after you tune or untune options.

Question 2:
Some extensions are disabled or not functioned well after the restart.
Solution:
The first time you restart your Mac with the newly modified System file, you can hold down the Shift key to turn all extensions off, and this is the only time you have to do that. After the first restart, all extensions will be working again. Some extensions, like RAM Doubler or CP Scheduler, sometimes need to be restarted twice to get it work normal again.

Question 3:
The PowerBook is connected to an external color monitor, but 7Tuner 1.7 still recognizes the monitor as black & white.
Solution:
Open the "Monitor" control panel, hold down the "Option" key, and you should see a mini happy Mac icon appears in the mini desktop. While holding down the Option key, drag the mini happy Mac into the mini monitor icon that represents the external monitor, and now the mini happy Mac should be inside the mini desktop of the external monitor. Restart your PowerBook, then 7Tuner 1.7 will recognize the monitor now.

Question 4:
When restart, a dialog says that the System software cannot be used with your Mac model.
Solution:
Restore your original System and Finder files from the Trash and restart. After everything is back to normal, copy the fresh new System and Finder files from your System 7 Installation disk set or CD-ROM (Disk Tools Disk is perfect). Restart your Mac with the new copies of System and Finder files, then use 7Tuner 1.7 to tune the options.
If this method doesn't make your Mac happy, then we have to say that 7Tuner 1.7 can't work on your machine. Sorry!

Question 5:
After the restart, the 3D folders look don't look like what they should appear.
Solution:
Restart your Mac then hold down the Command + Option keys right away until the desktop appears. This will force the desktop to be rebuilt.
